Dr. Lisa Price Stevens joined Magellan in 2016 and serves as national vice president and medical director, overseeing the company’s clinical strategy and execution in the managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) area and for Magellan Complete Care of Virginia.
Prior to her time at Magellan, Price Stevens served as the vice president of medical affairs and the Medicaid medical director at Fallon Health. In addition, she was the medical director of Fallon Total Care, one of the first integrated care organizations for dual eligible individuals under 65. Her passion also involves care for the homeless. Price Stevens contributes clinical time to the Boston Health Care for The Homeless program, and was formerly the medical director of The Daily Planet, a federal qualified health clinic (FQHC) in Richmond, Va.
Price Stevens is a board-certified internist and has held faculty positions at The American University of the Caribbean, Virginia Commonwealth University, Eastern Virginia Medical School and Anna Maria College in Massachusetts.
She graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Spelman College in Atlanta, and attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia. She earned her Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Walden University and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Ma.
Price Stevens has received numerous awards, including “Best Doc” by The Virginia Community Healthcare Association of Virginia. She is an America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Executive Leadership Fellow, a Fellow of The American College of Physicians (ACP) and a member of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business Management and Administration.
Price Stevens is the author of a children’s book, What’s That? A Tale of Cholesterol. She is married and has three children.
